Class 4 MOT tests are for:

Class 4 MOT includes all passenger cars with up to 12 seats, ambulances, taxis, caravans, goods vehicles (weighing up to 3000kg) and dual-purpose vehicles, etc.

Here is what is checked in an MOT test

Lighting & Signalling

One of our MOT testers will check the overall conditions of all your car lights, including headlights, indicators, brake lights, fog lights , umber plate lights and reflectors and cleaning capabilities.

Brakes

Then he will inspect the brake discs, pads, callipers, handbrake and the other components of your vehicle’s braking system.
Brakes are often a warning or fail on MOT tests, but they can be fixed quickly and for a low cost.

Tyres & wheels

As per the UK laws, your car tyres will be checked to confirm it has a minimum tread depth of 1.6mm. Your tyres will also be checked for cuts, bulges and signs of damage of the tyres. Tyres are often an MOT failure or an advisory but can often be a quick and easy repair.

What documents do I need to bring with me?

You only need to bring your car with you; we can look up information about your car online.

If you book your MOT test up to one month before it ends, you won't lose your extension date. This means that you can get 13 months on your MOT instead of 12.

What happens in vehicle fails its MOT

It's not a good idea to drive a vehicle that has failed its MOT. Your insurance company may also not cover you (please check for information).
